Monica is the Operating Partner and Chief Financial Officer of NGP Capital where she leads operations, finance, portfolio management and ESG practices. Monica Johnson is a global operations and finance leader who brings over 25 years of experience across multi-stage private to public companies and venture capital. Before joining NGP Capital, she led Finance and broader functions including Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal and Analytics across a wide range of corporations. Previously, Monica was the CFO of CafePress, where she led the financial, accounting, and legal functions during the company’s growth from $30 million to $250 million in revenues as well as through its IPO. Monica has a Master’s in Business Administration from Cornell University and has an Economics degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of the finance committee for the Boys and Girls Club, Peninsula.
